Can my moto 4th gen plus be used to update os on my kindle oasis 9th generation 7"?

My first ereader is a 7" kindle oasis. It seems to need an os update to 5.9.7. Can I use my moto as the computer holding the new updated os as it is copied into the oasis? Is there a more direct way to update the oasis?
