browser performance on the s6 is definitely terrible and nowhere near as smooth as my ancient iphone 5 even. its kind of sad really.

Interesting, I've seen the opposite...browser performance on my coworker's iPhone 5 is noticeably slower than my GS6.

As far as browsers on Android go, Chrome is one of the worst I've used honestly. It's extremely janky, and scrolling is pretty bad as well. The only one I've found that I like is Dolphin with Jetpack. As an added plus it automatically resized videos to full screen. Was driving me crazy on the other browsers that that's not an option.

Yup, Dolphin and Opera are the only two browsers that still do text wrap. It's a horrible shortcoming of all other browsers. I'm shocked people willingly put up with having to scroll left/right as they're trying to read a web page. Interestingly, the iPhone browser also does not do text wrap. Between Dolphin and Opera I vastly prefer Dolphin which I find to be buttery smooth and fast. I also like their bookmark options and flexibility.

I don't believe so. You'd have to use the same mobile browser as desktop for that. I haven't checked too deeply into it though. I use Safari on my MBP. There's no way Apple would create a cross-platform mobile browser. LOL. Dolphin has a ton of add-on apps and extensions though. I'll check later and report back if I find one.

EDIT: I just checked. They have something called Dolphin Connect that will.

In the end, I swapped it with someone for an iPhone 6 Plus (plus $200 his way).

Honestly, after playing with it a bit, I came to really like the S6. As mentioned above, responsiveness is fine after the initial 24 hours. (Also, after using the android chrome trick. Search "Wired Chrome Android Trick" to see what I'm talking about).

In the end though, it was the camera roll issue that was my deal breaker. I tried everything, using different gallery apps, using different programs to import my pictures / videos, importing via iTunes backup, importing directly via WiFi.

Every time was a little different.

The best option was probably when I used Samsung Smart Switch, which at least kept the majority of my photos in order, but unfortunately it grouped 500 videos at the top of my camera roll, instead of having them in their correct positions throughout the gallery. This might seem like a small nitpicking issue, but when you have 40 gigs worth of this stuff, its nice to be able to scroll through and look at pictures and videos in the order they actually happened. It seems the issue is that Smart Switch (and other similar programs) import pictures and videos separately, instead of all together at once.

A real shame. Other than that, the S6 was excellent. Beautiful screen, premium feeling, fun Android customisation and an incredibly flattering selfie cam ^_^, I just couldn't like with the unordered videos.

I'm shocked more hasn't been said about this online. I feel like I'm the only person who's come across this issue.

I know I am very late in replying to this post but I just felt compelled to tell you that you are not alone. I have an s6 edge and have felt the exact same way since I purchased it. I have tried everything with this phone in regards to making it run like a top of the line flagship smartphone. I mean everything. I have come to accept the fact that it is just not a great phone. I have the gold platinum edge. It is a truly beautiful device with a great camera and that's it. That's where it begins and ends. I have owned every flagship device offered from at&t over the last 3 years and I mean every one. This phone is by far the worst running flagship device of them all. It is unequivocally the worst running Samsung device I have ever owned. Ironically, it's the best looking and best built device from Samsung... But in regards to user experience.... It's very average at best. For a flagship device... It's well below average. The good news is, these s6 variants, for whatever reason, hold their resale value almost as well as an iPhone. Selling it won't be a problem and I won't even take that big of a loss. I will definitely be selling mine or trading it in for a better device. Anyway... Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone.... As a whole, is just not a great device. Are there worse??.... Absolutely.... Are there better???.... Absolutely..... Like you said... It's just balances out as an average device, but for the price... It being average is a crime and a serious let down...

You're right to hate Samsung S6. All that stupid glass that cracks so easy. No SD card slot, no removable battery, **** manual mode camera options, bloatware, laggy heap of ****. LG phones are way superior ;-)
