Can the default folder on Yahoo Mail be changed on the HTC 10?

When I open my Yahoo mail it defaults to the trash folder. I can change it but it still opens there. I'm using a shortcut. Any ideas?

Probably, delete the shortcut and then recreate it at which time you can choose the correct folder.

I have to say, however, that the GMail app does a great job with Yahoo mail accounts. You might want to give it a try.

click on the 3 dashes to open up to your mail accounts.
click on the folder to the right of yahoo mail.
chose the new folder you want it to open to .

I did that but the default remains trash folder

I just switched my opening folder from inbox to sent mail.
Turned my phone off, restarted went to Yahoo mail and it opened with sent mail still.
Just switched back to inbox.
Yours should be working this way also.
Can you switch it on other mail accounts.
I can switch opening folders on my gmail, cox and exchange mail accounts also.
I set up my Yahoo account up by clicking add account and then chose yahoo mail from the list.
Don't think it would make a difference but I am on tmobile network.

The question is, does the OP have a standard app icon on his home page, or a widget?

I haven't used Yahoo mail for years (frankly, I think it sucks, but that's another story for another day), but using GMail as an example, a standard icon will take you to your default folder whereas a widget can be set to open to any specific folder.

I am using a shortcut. I have 2 email accounts & I created 2 shortcuts to the stock email app. It seems to be working now so no more comments
