Can you connect phone headset and smartwatch at the same time

Hi, Currently I have a samsung Note 4 which i have connected to my Jawbone Era headset. I am thinking to get a smartwatch but can i connect all 3 at the same time ? I am a courier and have little time to keep taking my phone ot of my pocket. I want to be able to leave my phone in my pocket, see the messages that come through on the watch and still take calls through the headset. My phone is in a UAG folio case which makes it harder to check whats come through. does it depend on the watch or is there an app that can make this happen or am i asking too much. I dont want to look like Michael Knight when at the customers door making deliveries

Yes. My Moto Buds and Moto 360 both work at the same time on Nexus 6.

would that be through a 3rd party app ??

The Android Wear uses BT and the Android Wear and Moto Connect apps. The Buds don't have any app associated with them, they just pair through the BT interface in settings.
