Can you enable NFC on a cricket wireless branded LG stylo 5

[Android Central Question]

I bought my LG stylo 5 through my wireless provider (Cricket Wireless), and in unbenounced to me at the time cricket disabled the nfc chips.

Presumably it is only a software switch, so I am looking for a solution to re-enable it.
