I have gotten some bug in my Yahoo email. It send spam to my entire address book, but it happens when my computers are not even on. Can it be the DInc? Help?!

How does one go about fixing such? It is a Yahoo Premium acct that I have used for YEARS and I have tons of saved emails...

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

I never used Yahoo, but my wife does and so do some friends.

Download the pc app called thunderbird and start saving the good emails or the ones you need. Eventually close the acct.

actually, the same thing happened to me like 4 months ago. you will need to change you email password then delete everything in your email trash bin and spam bin. after that, run a virus scan on your computer to make sure there aren't any viruses or spyware malingering around. if all else fails, close the account and open a gmail account. those are the steps i took, but i already had a gmail account before.

I do have a gmail acct, but have been using yahoo since it started. I will delete my contacts after saving them elsewhere. Then change my password and erase all emails.

See if that helps...
