Cannot link contacts - have multi contacts have tried everything to link but no success

I am trying to find the forum about S5 linking contacts problems- can't find it and so frustrated have tried to follow directions about linking and multi linking with no success---------I think it may have to go thru FB and change some type of default just need some help getting there - love the phone this is the only thing I can't change- it was so easy on my S3:-X
