Cannot login pin on startup

Last night, my phone got an update. All day today, my battery's been draining pretty fast, it seems.

I restart my phone, but for some reason my phone won't accept my PIN.... and I think I'm starting to gaslight myself about my login.

Long press Power button then on screen long press Power off until it boots into safe mode

sooo... i think i may have messed around with Samsung Pass this week, thinking it has more to do with Samsung Pay, like Google Pay.

And I never logged into Samsung Pass; I just messed around with its permissions, thinking it would save battery life or something.

I did manage to remote program my PIN... but I just tried that said new PIN, but didn't work....

Sorry... had to do an errand. But I'm back.

An hour ago, I could not turn off the phone without entering PIN.

Then I thought I configured the PIN through remote lock, and now it's remotely locked.

BUT remote UNLOCK never worked at all because Samsung Pass was disabled or something.

....

Now I can't go safe mode because it's been remotely locked.

wow.. if i had bixby, i could have literally ask bixby to turn to safe mode

Let's see if we can force download mode
Hold both volume buttons together/bixby, power all at the same time until download mode appears a teal screen , if doesn't work try connecting cable from phone to computer and all those buttons until download appears

Lol it's tricky but turn the device in landscape mode to achieve it
