Cannot personalize text notifications

Did the update on my A8 and now cannot personalize each contact text notification. The message tone is no longer there. Have to use default. This sucks

Welcome to Android Central! I heard that Samsung updated their stock messaging app to correct this -- check the Samsung Store to see if there's an update for your messaging app.

Try SMS Popup until then. It gives you individualized (by contact) notifications.
