Cannot read internal SD card

I have a Coby Kyros tablet running Android 4.0. It is a WiFi only tablet. It has been working fine but suddenly I cannot load any apps or even read the internal SD card. If I connect the tablet to my PC it does not even see the Tablet's sd card. If I open settings and select "storage" it gives me an error and closes settings.
Can anyone help me?

Can you view the internal sd card with a file manager app, such as es file manager? If not, the sd card might be corrupt and a reformat may be required. Before you do that, I would suggest a factory reset...if that doesn't clear the issue then reformat the sd card and see if that helps.

Before doing any of that, try another card and see if the Tablet reads it.
