Cannot see or answer incoming calls

Help please!
My phone just stopped displaying incoming call numbers and I can no longer see the green and red phone symbols on an incoming call. The phone rings but does not light up and I need to swipe and enter my code to activate phone. By then its diverted to voicemail and I cannot then end the call. Any ideas O Android gurus? I have cleared the phone cache and data and done a couple of resets as well as uninstalling recently downloaded apps. Am scared to do a factory reset.

Has your phone suffered any damage (got wet, dropped)? Difd this all happen suddenly?

Have you tried safe mode if still the same? Sounds like you might have to factory reset .

Thank you, yes I tried safe mode but no joy, just the same, I think it will have to be a FR but last resort.
