cant attach documents or read attachments on yahoo email from my samsung s20

i have yahoo email using my samsung s20.
however I cannot download attachments or add attachments to my emails

Try clearing data and force stop the email.app

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the Yahoo Mail app, or the web interface on your browser?

If you're using the app, go to Settings>Apps, select Yahoo Mail, then Permissions, and make sure Storage permission is turned on.
