Have a google voice #. In my settings I click "change/port", it says it will cost "$10" blah blah, I click continue. It asks for a "Area, zip code or city". When I click "search numbers" the top of the browser in a red background says: "There was an error with your request. please try again" and the window shows an infinite "searching" loop and shows no results. I've tried numerous cities, cip codes, areas, etc and no results.
What is causing this?
ive tried multple browsers, incognito mode, using my phone carrier IP, different IP on my pc.. nothing. No resources online about this issue with a resolution. Why will Google not let me change my #? Ill happily pay the $10 it asks.
1. Tried deleting my GV # and choose a new GV # but it only lets me pick my old number.
2. Tried deleting old forwarding # and link new forwarding # then add/change to new GV. I lose the ability to see the screen in legacy mode to change my number. As you may know the newer google voice screen does not give you the option to change your GV # (despite having the button) as all it does is send you to a new page to enter a new porting #.
