Cant change song title or artist now?

Before I updated my phone I was able to edit songs in my library by long tapping them. Now I have no option to modify...
I went into File manager but that changes the file name & not what is written in my music library.
Updates are supposed to add, not take away good things right?
So what the hell?

I had that issue also. The only way I found around it was to move my Music Library to my laptop/desktop. Open the folder from there, and change the property details of the song(s) then reload. The drawback is moving the whole folder wipes out the playlist.

I haven't tried moving songs into the folder after modifying their properties, nor have I tried editing the song directly on my phone. I don't see any reason why you couldn't just move the songs instead of the folder, but haven't played with trying that.

Welcome to Android Central! What were you using before to modify the track properties--the stock Music app?

There are a lot of ID3 tag editor apps available on Google Play--try some of those. MediaMonkey is probably the best known.
