Can't Delete Google Account???

Hello, I want to remove the gmail account that I set up my LG Optimus S with. I signed up for a brand new google account and want to remove the old one without doing a factory reset. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I solved it, went into /data/system/ with Root Explorer and deleted the accounts.db file.

you could of always gone in and removed it from your accounts settings instead of deleting it from within the system. Good work either way tho

I have tried going in but it said this account was required because it was the account I set up when reverting back to Stock Sprint LS670ZVD. But the only downfall is that I had to redownload my apps/re purchase them because I deactivate the google account. But instead of dealing with it, I just got rid of the Stock ROM for good and Im on Clean Rom v1.2. I hate bloatware! >_<
