Hello all......definite noob.......coming over from the original pre launch on sprint about a year ago to the verizon x2. 2 accounts, me and the boy. 6 x2's later, I have got an incredible 2 which is way better. with that said........I decided to take my touchpad to the android side. I bought the TP(insert Peter Griffin laugh) with the intention of being a Webos Diehard. Pre3 etc. Well we all know that story. so I am trying to get CM9 on the tp, and when I get to the part where I launch ACMEinstaller2, within the Palm, Inc folder, along with novacom(tried webos dr install, direct novacom install) I get the screen to say "failed to connect to server". I have installed the ACMEwilecoyote2 and the novacom, why wont it go into the text part on my tp and install ICS?? Help!!!! Thanks in advance for the noob

You've probably seen the extensive "How to" over on WebOS Nation? Have you tried all the troubleshooting tips? Most frequent problems are caused by incorrectly installed Novacom drivers. If they look OK, I'd take a look at the cable; make sure its USB 2.0/HP TP compatible

You speak wisely, DaElderGeek!! I logged back on the forum to post that it was indeed the Novacom drivers. I uninstalled them, reinstalled via webos quick installer, left them all in the Palm, Inc folder, added the ACMEinstaller2 and viola!!!! I thought I broke it! lol. I am so impressed with how its running. Awesome. I have a dual purpose tab now, besides the, ahem ipad. Really cool how it synced from my google account. It even brought over the current wallpaper I had on the phone!
What a way to spend a rainy day in the office with nobody around! thanks for the tip too! reminds me of the early homebrew days......good times.
