Can't get lockscreen widgets on my Galaxy Note Pro 12.2

For some reason there is no option in the lock screen settings to add widgets. All it has is

lock screen card

clock widget options

shortcuts set on lock screen

personal message

owner information

but no sign of any possible way to add lockscreen widget. Got this from john lewis in UK so don't understand how there is no option there.

I have the same, and yet a screenshot I found online has a 'multiple widgets' option at the top. I got mine from John Lewis too. Coincidence?

Maybe this version is different to the one Samsung showed off?

I don't have my Note Pro yet, but on my Galaxy S4, if you have a passworded lock screen you cannot add any widgets that would revel personal data or allow access to apps. If I went without a password, I could use widgets such as a quick short-cut to the camera. I prefer security so no lock screen widgets for me.

Just found this on a Singapore site:

'You can no longer display mutiple lock screen widgets. This feature is replaced with Lock Screen Card, which while isn't as flexible as widgets, can be turned on in any screen lock mode.'

Unfortunately Samsung is going down the road of the "Walled Garden" of Apple by deciding what to give users and what to take away, since they know what is best for us!

Call it what you want but it is very sad when I could do things on my original Note 10.1 that were left off of my 2014 edition 10.1 and I still cannot do on my Note Pro 12.2. Sure I can pull up apps in multi-windows and now I can even get 4 windows but I can't pin any of them like I could back on the original 10.1.

Micro SD cards are another huge issue, maybe not for you but Google Micro SD issues and Samsung Galaxy Note for kicks and grins...

Thank goodness for rooting even though Samsung gave us more "Walled Garden" effects with the 2014 edition called Knox and if you root you trip the Knox counter and thus end your warranty.

See where they are going...

Very odd and annoying as my note 12.2 is my at home tablet i'm not going to have a pin on so would of wanted lockscreen widgets.
