Has any one else had dificulty playing mpeg4 video files on the Flyer?? I have loaded and played them on my HTC EVO with no problem. I tried converting them to AVI files, which customer service says is a supported file type (they also say that mpeg4 is supported) and also tried using the HTC Flyer sync program and nothing seems to work. Could this be a method by HTC to force people to use their Watch service? Interested in any suggestions!

Thanks

I have two videos on mine. They are in xvid format. They play fine. I haven't tried other formats yet. I hope mpeg4 format works though. If not, HTC needs to fix the problem.

The MP4's played fine on my Flyer, but to play AVI files I had to download QQ Player. As for sync, make sure you have HTC Sync for Flyer then you can set it to sync Outlook, docoments, bookmarks, Music, ect. Note the version of sync, that I use for my HTC Incredable would not work with the Flyer. There is a seperate thead in this forum on sync with Outlook.

No luck in getting video files to play even when using the Flyer specific HTC sync program. This is getting pretty frustrating.

I can see the file in the media folder, and it also shows up in my double twist player, bit when I go to play it it says this file type is not supported by your Android player.

MP4's and AVI's

When trying to play AVI videos my Flyer would also say this file type was not supported, but after installing QQ Player the AVI's would play. I did notice that when you go to your documents folder and look in videos after installing QQ Player, the videos show up as QQ file types. I am not sure if you can assign the program to open a particular file type with Android, as you can with Windows, but installing QQ Player obviously did that for me. When I open an MP4 now it asks if I want to play it in Media Player or QQ Player, but an AVI opens directly with QQ Player. Oddly Connected Media only shows the MP4's, even though they are stored in the same folder, but QQ Player shows the MP4's and the AVI's. QQ Player is a free app, so it may be worth downloading and installing. Let us know if it works.

The QQ Player seems to solve the problem. I have not tried it with all of my movies, but at least two (one in AVI and the other in MP4) work without any issues when using QQ Player. The same two movies do not work when used with Double Twist.

I appreciate the advice for the QQ Player.

I am not familiar with Double Twist, but it is something we note and go forward.
