cant get nexus 4 on dataplan for 4g smartphones

Hi all, Im on att and I got a nexus 4 and tried to get an imei number for a HTC inspire applied so I can get the right plan added. I gave them the imei but for some reason it still shows just dataplan for smart phones. Do I need to just mess with the APN settings or do I need a different imei from another phone? Thanks in advance.

Hey there. I have ATT as well. I went to the store and they took down the Nexus imei number. Data speeds were questionable, so I looked around and found this link. I changed my APN setting to what this had and my speeds drastically increased. Hope this helps!

The smartphone plan is fine to use. I had the 4G plan unlimited plan and they switched me to the smartphone unlimited plan. My download speeds are usually between 6mbs-10mbs. The same speeds I would get with the Inspire. What I did was copy the same two apns from the Inspire over to the N4.

anyway you can post a pic of your apns?

If I could get at least 6mb consistently I'd be happy, but I must live in a poor area since usually if I'm lucky my highest speeds are around 5mb down.

*Set the "Phone" apn as the default. Delete all other apns other than these two
