Can't get Samsung galaxy S7 screen to light up 4 texts

I've tried looking online, going through all my settings, and asking others but I can't find anything that would help!
My Samsung Galaxy S7 will not let my display screen light up when I receive text messages. Does anyone have any suggestions or know what to do??

Welcome to Android Central! I'm not sure if that's a normally built-in feature of that phone. Not all phones do this, but you can add the feature using a 3rd party app like DynamicNotifications.

Too funny. I'm trying to get mine to stop turning on when I get a text.
