Can't install rom from SD

so then you should be alright... are you able to flash anything from the recovery? if you can't flash from the recovery... then i dont know man... that sounds like an issue with clockwork.

unless the zip youre trying to flash is corrupt.

IIRC rom manager keeps a log file.
What's the log saying about the failed installs?

same issue here unrevoked root have tried all steps listed but can only run downloaded roms from rom manager app.Zip files put on the root of sd card error can't find update is the message. Weird?

Update hope this might help. I did get roms to flash."You can flash Amon-ra from Rom Manager; the menu entry near the bottom should say "flash alternate recovery" After doing this And using Amon-ra instead of Clockwork I was able to flash roms from my sd card using recovery(power+volume down) So I think the problem lies in the clockwork recovery. Hope this helps someone.

Is it possible you didnt have clockwork flashed properly before? When i used clockwork, i had no problems, so ifind it hard to believe your assertion that clockwork doesnt work, because i know thats not true.

Anyway, good to hear you flashed a recovery and can now flash roms roms.

I didn't say that clockwork doesn't work I am aware most people use this to flash roms. However in my case I Know the problem lies in clockwork. I figured this because it errors out when i try to flash a rom zip. Yes this could mean it' was not flashed properly when it was installed using unrevoked. I did however think this could help the other poster who seems to have my exact problem. Amon-ra worked great and I used the exact same process. Also just because clockwork works for you, doesn't mean it works perfect for everyone.
