Can't Receive Texts from Certain iPhone Users

Hello, I had my S3 for a while now and for some reason, in the last few months I cannot receive text messages from two iphone users.

I can send texts to them and they can receive it, but they cannot send texts or images to me.

I did some of my own trouble shooting and none of it worked. They allowed me to turn off their iMessage, wifi etc. to text to me, but even with those things off/on etc I still cannot receive texts.

I called an AT$T rep and she asked me to power off my phone, did some reset thingy and then power it on. Still i cannot receive texts and I plan to call her tomorrow.

Does anyone else have a suggestion? Thanks!

Two questions: Are you using the stock texting app and are these all texts or multimedia messages?

I went into my iPhone and went to settings, then messages, put send messages as SMS on and now it works.

I had this same problem a few days ago because I put my sim in an iPhone just for fun (back on my GS3 now). I was getting some texts from some iPhone people but not from others, but they all got mine. For some of them it worked on its own in time, for others I had them delete the current thread in the messaging app and start a new one. That worked.

If u used an iphone with imessages and when you switch to Android, u dont receive texts or ur texts got delayed. U need to contact Apple to get ur phone number to be removed from imessages. I have seen a lot of people had this issues when they switched to Android from iphone.
