Can't receive texts on Samsung Tablet synced with S5 phone but can send texts

[AC Question]

My S5 screen stopped working after dropping it, but the phone still rings and works. I need to use my tablet until I can get the phone fixed. The tablet used to send and receive texts before, but now I can only seem to send text messages and can't receive them on my tablet. Any suggestions? Thank you

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablet? Is it 3G/4G capable? Does it send SMS messages, or are you using some other messaging app on the tablet?
