Cant recieve text from one person

Okay so I am at odds here. One of Mt best friends can get my texts, but suddenly I can't get him. I had other people text me and I am having no problems with anyone else. He is also on att but uses I phone 4. But this just started a couple days ago. Very weird. He is not having good any problems texting anyone else.

I'm having this problem too with one friend. She is on AT&T with a Skyrocket (I think, definitely Android). I get her texts occasionally but most either say 'failed' on her end or they seem like they went but they never get to my phone. Very intermitent. I get texts from everyone else just fine, only problem is with her. She gets all my texts. Started soon after I got the Galaxy III. Strange.

I had the same problem with my husbands iphone. He had his settings set for "iMessage", so I wasn't getting any of his texts. He disabled it, and now I get his texts.

Ditto - this is an iMessage issue. If a user used iMessage, before switching from iOS to Android, they need to turn it off (Settings \ iMessage) wait a minute or two for it to register with AT&T\Verizon (this can be done via WIFI, too), and then it should start to work properly.

Most annoying really. I don't ever want to have a feature that is specific to a carrier or manufacturer. That's why I refuse to use Samsung's IM application. What if I leave Samsung? See
