Small pink magnifying glass icon appeared after update. Can't remove it. Thought it would be under accessibility settings but nothing there. Please help

Welcome to the forums. Which phone do you have and which Android version is it running? That floating icon definitely looks like an Accessibility Shortcut. You need to go one by one in those Accessibility options and see which feature, app or service has it enabled.

It is a LG V60 Thinq with Android 12. All the settings are turned off except digital secure. Tried turning it off and didn't go away either.
You need to tap the text and not the toggle in those options. Some of them will open a new menu where you can find out if the Accessibility Shortcut is enabled (even if the main option is off).

Went thru each option no luck. Everything disabled on submenues too. Even toggled them on and back off to make sure.

That's very strange. What happens if you tap or long press that floating icon? Can you drag it to the top or bottom of the screen to remove it?

Ugh. That icon looks and behaves as an Accessibility Shortcut from any of your apps or system features. Sorry, I'm not sure what else to suggest.

Can you find an option to Reset your Accessibility settings? I'm not sure in LG devices but this is available in other brands running Android 12.

So you tried checking everything under the vision setting? I have the little man shortcut on for my magnification... I didn't like the floating icon either. I'm not on my phone running 12 right now, so I can't tell you exactly how to get there, but I would thoroughly check under vision to start with. It was a little difficult to find the setting at first :-\

I know this is an old thread but Ive had the same issue and tried everything.. to the point I considered just getting a new phone. Anyway I just recently figured out a way to disable it and idk why it works but it does.

Settings>System>Developer Options>Demo Mode.

Enable both the options, then disable them.

Magnifying glass gone.

It does come back when you restart your phone tho, but you can just repeat the above steps again. And I haven't had any issues w my phone by doing this that I know of so I'm gonna keep doing until it gets an actual fix.

Anyway hope this helps someone.

Welcome to AC!

Thanks for your tip , what device you have? because demo mode doesn't work on all phones .

Welcome to Android Central! Did you also try booting into Safe Mode? If it goes away in Safe Mode, then you know it's due to some 3rd party app you installed. You would then have to uninstall apps one by one until the magnifying glass goes away for good.
