Can't restore a backup for Nova Launcher

I decided this morning to root my phone and am now realizing that Nova Launcher apparantly doesn't allow you to choose the location of your backup file if you want to restore it...

I keep reading that the default location where the backup file needs to be is on an SD card, how could Nova have overlooked this for Nexus 5 owner's?

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Jeff

That's what they call internal storage (emulated SD card). Pretty sure anyway. :p

Yes, Mrs Mumbles is right, it will save to internal (USB aka emulated SD). If you factory reset your phone you will lose that save. You could transfer the file to the cloud and then download it, PIA but a workaround.

Just to clarify, before I rooted my phone, I emailed the Nova backup file to myself. Now I need to figure out what location to put the backup file on the rooted phone so that Nova can find it Going to email nova if I can find their support address, assuming they have one.

Thanks

SOLVED: I created another backup and determined it's location by searching for the word "backup" with File Manager. Moved my preferred backup file there and boom good to go!

Thanks for posting the follow up. Glad it worked out.
