Cant ROOT after US670ZV4 update!! Is there any hope?

I just updated my "ROOTED" LG US670 to US670ZV4 and lost my root access. I'm currently trying to re-root my optimus and having no luck using the standard rooting method. I read on another thread that update is a root blocker made by the manufacture.

I am still without root access and still looking for any kind of help.

What version of Android does it list in menu->settings->about phone

What rooting method are you using? GingerBreak should work on 2.2.2.

Probably someone on your carrier would know more specifics for your phone than us. We are mostly Sprint here so we can only provide generic info.

did use the gingersnap program but not the gingerbreak. Snap said it worked and that my phone should reboot but the phone did nothing. I will try gingerbreak

Thank you very much! I downloaded gingerbreak and then added the file to the gingersnap folder and it rooted first try.
