Can't Sync Google contacts, what can i do? Device: Huawei P9 Plus 128gb Vie-AL10

I just bought a Huawei P9 Plus 128gb model VIE-AL10, from China. Im having trouble getting it to sync my google contacts. So far i have downloaded google contacts sync but it just isn't working, what can i do?

I got it working, someone in the XDA Forums managed to do it, so here is the solution:

Lets start from scratch to make it simpler.

Remove Google Contacts via the apps section of the phone
Download Google Contact Sync APK and install it (Even if you already have it) get this one: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...-apk-download/
Reboot phone
Go into permission manager and select Google Contacts Sync and make sure it is set as "Trust this app"
Then go into Apps via Settings and search for Google Contacts Sync and select permissions, make sure "Contacts" is enabled as per screenshot http://anonpix.com/images/2016/05/16/7qEOb.png
Reboot phone
Check your accounts and you should see Google Contact Sync
