Can't turn off vibrate notification in updated Hangouts

Finally just figured it out to disable keyboard vibration....Settings>Language & Input>Keyboard & Input Meth : Select current keyboard default will be Google, select it and then> Preferences>Vibrate on touch

I have an HTC M8. This has been driving me crazy! I finally stopped the vibrations by going into Hangouts -> Settings -> SMS -> Uncheck 'Vibrate' . That worked for me. Let's see if it sticks.

This was really annoying me too.

You can turn them off by:
Open Hangouts
Go to Settings
Touch your Google account name/email
You'll see HANGOUT NOTIFICATIONS and Hangouts messages & invites right below it

Thanks so much, finally turned off vibrate in Hangouts.

Vibrate should be off by default, on every app.
