Can't turn phone on?

360 case installed, without shield. Never in my life have I been able to install a glass shield correctly.
I like the "bad azz black back.
I don't like the "notch" deal with the 3 holes.
The front of the phone now seems to be a great collector of dust.
I doubt this case will be on the 3XL very long.

Thanks for the pictures. I guess it's a no go.

Somehow or other, I seemed to have managed to lose the ability to turn my 3XL on, or so I thought. I plugged a USB cable from the phone to the computer, and the computer sees the phone, so it must be on, I guess.

The screen is completely blank and the power button seems to do nothing.

Never ran into this situation before, and am totally clueless on how to get the XL back up and running.

Fortunately I could power up my P2 and get that re-set up on Project Fi, so I am not without phone service.

Any ideas appreciated..................................

UPDATE - 11/17/18

Same issue occurred today, case removal didn't help. Went through all the troubleshooting steps with a Google Tech and we decided to return the phone for credit. I didn't want to take the chance of getting a rebuilt/whatever in exchange.

Fortunately I was able to play around with the power button and got the phone on so I could factory re-set it. I was not at all comfortable returning it without the reset.

Now I'll wait for credit and see what happens next. In the mean time I have old faithful P2 Blackie at my side.

I updated this in case anyone else is having power button issues - use this info as you wish.
