Can't write to my SD card message after update? Am I going to deal with this after every update?

Has this happened to anyone else after an update? I have the s20 plus and after the update yesterday it showed that and wouldn't go away i called tmobile and they said they never seen this before even a samsung rep said they couldn't help me no one knew what it was. I took the sim out and put it back in same error so I finally restarted my phone since samsung nor tmobile knew what to do and it fixed it. I just hope this doesn't happen with another update or with every update.

One would hope it's a mere glitch, but until further updates, you just won't know, but at least your actions cleared it.

Yes I'm glad restarting helped its just frustrating that even a samsung rep didn't no what to do.

To be safe, make sure any data on the SD card is backed up somewhere else as well, in case this is a warning sign that the card could about to fail or become corrupt.

How do I do that? I think everything is backed up with my gmail.

It depends on what you use your SD card for. If you save precious photos or other important media files, then make sure those photos are copied over to a computer hard drive, or some cloud storage.

All my photos are saved to my phone I have my old s9 plus still that has photos and contacts on there. When I got this phone I mirrored my old phone to this one and everything went over and I still have them on my old phone too

It's free as long as you choose "High Quality" and not "Original Quality." High quality will reduce photos to 16 megapixel and compress the file somewhat, but I've never been able to tell the difference. If you're a professional photographer, then High Quality might not be good enough, but otherwise, it should be fine.

Thanks for the replies ill try both suggestions hopefully it was just a bug with the update and the next patch fixes it

No updates and the sd card error came up again I asked tmobile and samsung rep and I asked both if I should get a new sd card they told me it would do the same error they said theres a patch that should fix the issue. For now i made sure Google has everything backed up

I wouldn't go by what they say , they not known to troubleshoot issue like this or know what get fixes in next update.
And everything on smartwitch saved
That's great

Thats why I saved everything just in case lol. I think it was Sam mobile I saw it on that 2 other people with an s20 plus had the same issue.

On the top is what the error says in case this happens to anyone else
