Can't write to my SD card message after update? Am I going to deal with this after every update?

Just for everyones info, I just bought a galaxy S10 to replace my s8 and started using it for the last few weeks. My Samsung Evo+ (red) 128gb card that I've had since 2016 just corrupted in the s10. Been using this card since my s7 in 2016 without issue.

I started writing to the card in the S10 and suddenly it became read-only just like the photo posted by OP. I suspect that the S10 may have corrupted it, but at the same time, it is a 4 yr old card. It's not used heavily though so it should've still had some life left.

I tried it in my s8 again and my PC and same issue, read only. Also note I've tried deleting items and they don't delete. Telltale signs of corruption. If I try to take a picture in camera and save to SD, I get an error and it switches to internal storage. So card is toast for sure. I regularly make backups but was still able to copy everything directly off the card. Can't format it because of the corruption. Since others are having this issue, I'm suspecting it's a Samsung problem and wasn't just my card's lifespan being up.
