Captivate = Time Machine?

Hey there guys,

I'm a prospective buyer (and my girlfriend already has hers) of the Captivate, and I'm lovin' every little thing about it.

My only main question is this: in text conversations, when I text her, it shows it as arrived a minute ahead or behind (I forget specifically) of when she replies. Basically, it's all screwy. Now, someone told her to pop the battery out, and then back in. Tried it, same story. I was wondering if anyone was having the same issue, or knew a way to get around it, if it was a text option?

not sure ill have to test that out, but more importantly your GIRLfriend chose a captivate over iphone? sounds like a keeper.

She did. I only pointed her in the right direction - she's rollin' with it. And yea, definitely a keeper. ;-)

But yea, more importantly (aha), I was hoping someone else could shed some light on the weird texting sorting. Like, when she sends a response, it puts her response above the text she responded to. As I said, like she's from the future and can predict my texts. Cool effect, no doubt. Nice trick, maybe. Annoying in every day use, yes.

If you both have your phones set to auto time, it is possible your towers are broadcasting slightly different times.

My laptop and phone are off by 3 minutes...

I have read on captivate forums that others were having a similar problem. Try the Handcent SMS app, many people have said that it fixes the problem.
