Car holder and always-on screen?

As far as I can tell, there is no car dock for the S III like the one I had for my DroidX, that supplies power via a fixed connect, puts the phone into docking mode, and keeps the screen from turning off automatically. I got a holder, but I have to find the end of the USB cable to plug it in, and the screen turns off after a minute just as though it were lying on my desk. (I am happy not to have a special docking screen get in my way as on the DroidX.) Any suggestions about keeping the screen on or anything else?

Re: Car Mounts
Verizon offers the iBOLT SGS3 Dock in all Corporate stores and online, Set Your Location This is is a "real" Dock, similar to the Motorola ones but with some cool benefits. It starts the car-mode, it turns the home screen icons horizontal and it has integrated aux-out for the audio. It comes with a long 9 ft charging cable that also carries the aux audio signal so it can be plugged into a standard 3.5 mm line in jack in the car stereo. The charging goes into any USB port. It also works with most cases, up to Otterbox Commuter style (it doesn't work with Defender cases though). With this long 9ft cable you can place the mount on the LEFT side of the steering wheel and run the cable down the drivers door and under the carpet/front seat up to the center console or wherever your USB and aux-in port is located. Hope this helps.

I'm looking into this Car Dock also. I'm so use to my Droid X car mount, this one seems pretty close. Although, the IBolt comes with a aux out and usb connection to charge (at least that's what the pic on a website shows), so have to buy a car charger and can't use the aux out, because have an older car with stereo that doesn't have that option. I found Car Chargers really cheap at wirelessemporium.com though, so no big deal.

Picked one up today. Nice, similar to DroidX and Bionic but Aux does not work for phone calls. I would not have purchased if I had known this. Aux works fine for music, etc.
Already had a universal car dock that required me to manually plug in each time.

I had your same issue, I installed carhomr ultra and now the screen stays as long I have the program on.
Download it for free for the frst month and try it out.
