Just got the Otterbox Commuter. I love it already. I missed the protection I had on my S4 and now have it on my Maxx.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned but I just ordered the generic verizon kickstand shell & holster combo through amazon.

I had one of those on my bionic and liked it alot. Be careful with the kickstand. It's filmsy and breaks easily. I broke mine and ended up putting a Det Tigers sticker on the back to keep the kickstand from falling out. It worked and I didn't miss the kickstand.

I may still go back to that case. I have 14 days to decide if I like the otterbox defender case. I seem to be getting used to it, but I could change my mind at the last moment. I was just worried that the generic case didn't protect it enough.

How did you break it? Had one for my Droid Razr M and dropped it numerous times and it still worked.

The little piece that keeps it from sliding is what broke off. Can't remember how it happened. It was no big deal, though. I put the sticker on it and it was fine and stayed in place.

Actually there was a broken one at the verizon store too. The salesperson took one out of the box and the kickstand was broke in half and the case itself had scratches.

The defender case has vastly been improved since my gnex model. No more adhesive leaking out, and wow that belt clip and kickstand is indestructible. They did a good job.

Just don't understand why we can't get all the custom colors like the other models.

I have the same case and I am enjoying it as well. The added bulk is minimal to me, and I appreciate the build quality. The only downside is the backside is extremely scratch prone. Nonetheless, I would rather have a case scratched than my Maxx.

Me. I'm contemplating getting a case now. Or at least a bumper. The phone does tend to slip out of my lap sometimes and I want to protect the corners.

But I've already bought 2 cases that I ended up taking off. Qmadix S and the Diztronic. I'll keep the Diz but I have no use for that Qmadix.

The Cruzerlite cases have great "grippiness." And they look cool too - especially the Bugdroid!

That's looks like a good option.
Have you seen them sold at local retailers?
Anything without the buddroid design?
Would you say it's grippy on the front lip too? I'm looking for something that won't slide too much when placed on the seat next to me.

I bought this Diztronic case and this Decoro case/holster.

The Diztronic case is fantastic. It's not bulky at all, it covers the power and volume buttons and it has a matte finish. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted. The Decoro case is garbage. BUT... the holster is decent. It's the typical ratcheting-clip design and it has a felt lined interior to protect the screen. The MAXX in the Diztronic case fits perfectly in the Decoro holster. I'm very pleased with this setup.
