I'd like to get a case and few screen protectors before I get my Bolt. Low profile case but not one that'll trap a bunch of dirt inside it and scratch the phone anyway.

Based off previous experiences what are the best and what fits this phone? I see some on Amazon already.

Otterbox is great, but you will be waiting oh say 3-5 months, and closer to 5 than 3. Also don't expect Otterbox to support an extended battery because they don't. Great case but you wait a long time. Of course they will have an iPhone 5 case out in record time like everyone else does.

If Incipio comes out with a feather case, then go for them. I used them all time and they are low-profile and fits great. Downside is that, it's so thing, after a handful of drops, the edges start to crack.

You shouldn't need a screen protector. Not certain of the details on what HTC uses for glass exactly, but under normal conditions, pocket storage, etc, it doesn't scratch at all. Stuff is tough.

I probably want a screen protector becasue on the occasion I have a brain issue and put my keys in my phone pocket.
Is Skinomi the brand that everyone loves now? I have a hard time keeping up.

The Bolt specific cases seem to be pretty weak right now.

The store sold me screen protectors when I got my Storm and they're not cheap. First time touch screen owner, so what did I know. I found out later they aren't needed and so I never plan on wasting my money on screen protectors again.

for the 20 bucks you would spend on a good screen protector (like the invisible shield) it would be well worth it. ive had one on my BB for almost 2 years and my cat decided to chew on my phone the other night and his little teeth bit right through the protector after taking it off i was shocked to see the screen had survived without a scratch. well worth it IMO, and did i mention invisible shield has a lifetime replacement warranty? yea i got my new one in 3 days.

Remember what they told you in health class, an once of prevention is worth the protection.

I would also like some suggestions since I'm switching from my iPhone 4 to the bolt when it comes out. For the iPhone there is really only two top brands recommended for screen protectors and SGP is the one who makes protectors for androids, power support does not. I currently have the SGP oleophobic on my iPhone and I love it.

How are SGP screen protectors for droid phones? If SGP is not on the top of android phones, what is? As far as cases go, what are some good brands that make nice TPU material cases?

Hmm, this is interesting and contradicts a lot of what I've heard and read about screen protectors. It seems like most people say it's a waste of money - but these are exactly the types of personal experiences (also, the keys in the phone pocket is a good example) that are interesting. Pets do have a way of ignoring their chew toys and latching onto the most expensive thing in the room, don't they?

So here's my Devil's Advocate question - what if the cat chewed on your phone BECAUSE of the screen protector? Maybe they're made of catnip by products or mouse feces??

At launch I will likely get a package at the Verizon store, and then get a package of SGP when they come out. I have used their products on numerous devices for a couple of years and I highly recommend them.

Will screen protectors and cases for the EVO fit the Bolt? That might be a good way to get discounted things before launch.

I know the EVO has its camera that is not flush in the back...it sticks out! Thus, some kind of case is mandatory for an EVO...the T-Bolt looks flush it the back...but I am worried about having the outer glass on a 8 mega pixel camera get scratched up...this thing is probably gonna take awesome pictures and with the huge memory card: lots of storage.

I don't think you are gonna fit anything else in your pocket beside your bolt because of the size! I keep my bb Storm in my pocket without a case...sometimes the keys slip in but I never hurt my phone.

which is better...the soft rubber case or the hard plastic? I worry too that with the case the BOLT is gonna be even bigger!

my buddy works at ghost armor and he said he just got new decals for the thunderbolt.

Im going with what has worked for my Incredible since launch, SGP Crystal Clear and Seidio Innocase II Surface.

These two work great together!

I'm thinking of getting Ghost armor for my bolt since from what I've heard other offerings are thicker and not as slick. I like slick since I prefer the naked phone but I don't want to mess it up,

Any other full protection shields I should look at? I've seen SGP mentioned but I've never seen it. How does it compare to GA?

ghost armor is just a self healing scratch resistant screen protector. you can cover your whole phone with it but i usually just put it on the screen and camera lense in tandem with a hard shell case

Seems ebay already has some cases and screen protectors there. I got a 3 pack screen protectors and a generic case for now. Ill be ordering the sgp crystal and the innocase 2 when their available. The ones I bought on ebay already had like 70sold haha

Had the otterbox for my original ipod and it still looks brand new today. Just wondering why you estimate 3-5 months for a case? Does it take that long for them to design a new case for the TB? Anyone think that the EVO case would fit? thxs
