Cases for the HTC One

I almost bought the Bear Motion from Amazon but my one complaint was the cut out on the top left side where the SIM card goes. I don't plan on popping the SIM card in and out so I felt that cut out was totally unnecessary. I bought the RocketFish case from Best Buy that is almost identical to the Bear Motion but without that useless cut out. It fits tight, has a great feel and still keeps the slim profile of the phone.

The Bear Motion is one of my 3 cases and i gotta say i just love the texture of it. Nice case for 6$

Have you tried taking it off? I love the Poetic Atmosphere but it's a nightmare to remove.

I just purchased the Incipio Feather Ultra Thin Snap-on Case (HTC One feather Ultra Thin Snap-On Case)

I absolutely love it...I think it is about as minimalist as a case could be and still provide decent protection. The case is a soft touch case that repels fingerprints and feels really good in the hand. It makes the phone feel very solid (as if it had to do that!) and leaves the phone feeling thin and looking great! The case fits very snugly so I would think that it will hold on in the case of a drop. The case extends beyond the top and bottom of the phone and provides a slight lip of protection on the front for the screen. The only negative is that the volume rocker is a little awkward to access, but definitely not a deal breaker!

Here are some pictures:

I had the Feather in grey with an HTC 8X and the color, feel and texture were great. Can you please tell me if the case for the HTC One is finger print proof?

The black Feathers are more of a rubberized back to achieve a matter color but they show stains of your finger oil/grease and I don't like it.

I have one in black for the One and sadly, it is like that. I thought of ordering the grey for it because of my previous one in the 8X but I thought the black one would like better on the aluminum color of the One. It's a PITA to clean everyday :(

I will order one in grey if you can tell me it doesn't show finger oil/grease. Thanks!

I tried looking in the various case threads but I can't find what I'm looking for so perhaps someone knows off hand. I'm looking for a case I think I saw in these forums. It was a bumper type case. It looked metal in construction and sturdy plus it had a lanyard, or at least the ability to use a lanyard. Does this sound familiar to anyone? If I remember correctly it looked like it had some sort of tension locking but I could be wrong here. Any tips would be great.

My poetic has started to come apart. The rubber edge by the screen has started to separate from the clear tpu side strip. Incipio or bear motion?

I got one of those peel carbon type covers for my HTC One from the android central online shop. I has a similar one for my iphone. but in the process of putting on the screen protector I got a fingerprint on it from the inside and had to throw it away.

Thanks but neither are the one I'm looking for. I'm thinking now the one I remember is the Draco but it doesn't appear to have a place to put a lanyard. I'll keep searching I guess.

Edit: it would appear the Draco bumper does allow for a lanyard and they even make an aluminium ring tipped one. I may go with this unless the other thread about this case has some awful review. I still feel like the Draco is not the one I'm thinking of. For some reason I keep seeing a sort of metal locking mechanism in my mind. Reminded me of mountain climbing equipment.

I have a best buy "pt" case which according to the fine print is made by seidio and appears to be the same as the seidio surface (with kickstand). Price including holster was $39.99. Only physical difference I can see is the metal kickstand has PT (presumably for "platinum") engraved on it, not "seidio".

I like it as much as I can like anything that hides this phone...with one exception.

The cut out for the microusb port on the bottom of the case feels like it has a sharp edge to it. Enough ago that it cuts into my pinkie finger which rests on the bottom during my normal one handed operation . It seems minor but it just kept annoying me more each day... Do not know if this is the dame on the seidio branded version.

At any rate ended up putting a piece of electrical tape over it which I pry off to charge.

Anyone else had this issue?

Hello, I'm really liking this Hyperion TPU Case and am really looking to get one. I have the Silver HTC so I was hoping to get a recommendation whether to get the Gray (Smoke) or the Clear... Any ideas as to why would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for posting hi-res pics. Would you recommend clear or smoke? I also have the silver HTC one and am really looking to get a good TPU case. Just not sure whether to get the clear or the gray (smoke)... Thanks for any input/advice.

Just got my Seidio Surface case w/ kickstand and holster, got them for $36 shipped.
So far I am happy, albeit there is a tad bit of rattling in the case, not noticeable for the most part.
* Soft touch texture feels good.
* Cut outs are all well centered except for the headphone jack.
* Seems secure enough, couldn't pull it apart using good force.
* Holster is excellent for quick and easy access.

I just noticed the strangest thing. With an Incipio Dual Pro Shine, there's a noticeable drop in signal. I thought I was crazy but I could tell quite a difference with the case on vs. off by looking at the dbs. The silicone had a minimal impact, probably within a margin of error, but the plastic shell that goes over it had the largest impact on signal with a drop of about 10+ dbs. In my case (no pun intended) it had an effect on acquiring a 4g signal as well. This is with the Sprint version, btw.
