I just got my Atmosphere and I'm a little disappointed. I like the construction, but the back is a lot more frosted than you would think, especially when comparing it to some of the pics online. It makes an otherwise beautiful phone look very cheap.

I agree. I think the frosted back cheapens the overall look of the case and, consequently, the phone while in it.That and the gray rubber lining that surrounds the outer case. Pass.

I pre-ordered the Genuine HTC One Double Dip Hard Shell - HC C840 - Black / Grey / Black back on 5/13/2013. Got an email saying they expected arrival of the cases several weeks ago, followed by an email several days later saying there is an unknown arrival date. Been waiting nearly a month for this now:

This is actually pretty sharp and I wouldn't mind having one myself. I like the color-combo compared to the red with grey. Did you ever get it??

Not sure about the bear motion, said that the incipio doesn't have any lip, so it may fall on the face

I love my atmosphere case, but this Bear Motion might take the cake for me as my every day carry. It's so sleek and as far as grip goes, it's the best in hand I have experienced thus far.

I just watched a video of a review of the Bear motion and I really don't think it's fair to compare the Bear Motion to the Poetic Atmosphere. The Poetic Atmosphere offers a lot more protection. The Bear Motion is a lot like the case that I had for my HTC One S, and I was really happy with that one too...until... it fell. Now don't get me wrong, the phone fell a ton of times and nothing happened to it, but this time it fell at an angle and the upper front edge hit first, causing the phone screen to shatter.

Which is why I don't want to use that sort of case again. The Atmosphere offers a better lip and protects better angles. Gonna post pics soon of my shattered phone and case.

Someone replied to you earlier and told you that their phone with a TPU case fell off the back of their truck and was fine. Obviously it provides some reasonable form of protection against moderate drops.

If you like your Otterbox, good for you. Those are fine cases, but not everyone wants or needs something that provides that much protection at the cost of a substantial amount of bulk.

I own the Poetic Atmosphere case and I couldn't disagree more! Once on the phone, the frosted look completely disappears. The aluminum back of the phone shows through extremely cleanly and naturally, and with no cheesy "transparent plastic" glare, (this is the function that the "frosting" serves)..... it appears as if the case is not even present!

This clean look is why I bought it!

I would be curious what other Poetic Atmosphere owners have to say on this subject...

My only complaint with the Poetic Atmosphere is the case is very difficult to remove once installed.

The aluminum back of the phone shows through extremely cleanly and naturally, and with no cheesy "transparent plastic" glare, (this is the function that the "frosting" serves)..... it appears as if the case is not even present!

This clean look is why I bought it!

I would be curious what other Poetic Atmosphere owners have to say on this subject...

My only complaint with the Poetic Atmosphere is the case is very difficult to remove once installed.

Hi guys, I finally got around to ordering a case and I chose the Otterbox Commuter in black. I chose this partly because I'd hate to break my new phone but also because the shipping is a lot faster than the Poetic Atmosphere (my second choice).

If I don't like the case when I get it, I might order the Atmosphere and only use the Otterbox for special occasions. I got the black because I was worried about the white getting grubby.

I had the otterbox for my evo 3d and that totally ruined the experience. Was so bulky and just icky to use. I think the Poetic Atmosphere should work as drop protection for the most part.

I have black, which apparently doesn't look as good as the silver in frosted cases.

Then that must be the difference. On the silver Htc One, the Poetic Atmoshere case is essentially invisible (except for the colored trim).

I definitely do mind it but it rather have a bulky but working phone than a beautiful smashed phone

It was mainly the shipping time to Australia that lead me to the Otterbox. I'll probably order an Atmosphere a bit later.

On a side note, people always complain about there being no point to the One's design if your covering it in a case. IMO, the One's Poetic Atmosphere looks way better than the S4's. I'm not trying to troll but I think that the One is unusually beautiful, even wrapped up
