Cases for the HTC One

Just received my Otterbox Commuter case for the One. Firmer type of rubber for the inner shell which i like (doesn't collect as much lint/dust and feels more heavy duty). Same great hard outer shell. I like the smaller size of the Commuter over the Defender. All cutouts and buttons are exactly correct (nice area for power/IR blaster button). I wasn't going to use the included screen protector but I tried it and it doesn't affect any of the back or home button touch functionality in any way so I'll keep it on.

Uh oh... just got a message from Exact-Deal on Amazon (Poetic's Amazon store), and they said the following:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your order for Poetic Borderline Bumper case for HTC One M7.We are aware the issue for IR Blaster Being blocked on our earlier Version. Unfortunately it requires us much more time to fix this issue. We will not being able to ship out update version until the end of May. Because of this long wait, we decide to cancel your orders. If you need this case again, you can re-order it once it is available. Or you can order some other cases from Poetic by Searching ?Poetic HTC ONE M7? on Amazon.com

We apologized for any inconvenience caused you. Thank you for your understanding in advanced.

I'm guessing they will be issuing refunds, then... but I haven't heard back yet to confirm. I also see that the Borderline Bumper case is no longer available on Amazon or listed on the Poetic website... must be a hefty redesign! There was no mention of the Atmosphere case, so I'm guessing it's still on track to ship on May 13.

UPDATE: Refund received. All is well.

I really would love to go naked with this phone, it's fantastic looking. Actually I would go naked on all my cell phones, but it is one thing that really bothers me, why the hell don't phone manufacturers make the camera lens inwards instead of flushed with the back? It's always my concerned that I will lay my phone down and something will scratch the camera glass. :( Maybe someone should invent a little circle rubber to put around the camera lens and voila! No case needed.

I went to go use my candyshell and it's a bit off. Smells strongly of plastic and the interior has some smooth and shiny areas near the top on the inside. Never seen that before on any other candyshells.

I also have the Otterbox Commuter. It's not the prettiest case out there but the fitment is great and the included screen protector performs really well. It's a solid case, so the device feels well protected.

Also have a Spigen Ultra Thin clear case on the way, which looks much better than the Otterbox. Probably not the same level of protection but at least I'll be able to still appreciate the design of the phone.

I picked up the Incipio DualPro SHINE. I bought it largely because it was one of the few cases in stock at the AT&T store I swung by. I like it.

It's one of those cases w/ the rubber interior that you then snap in to a harder shell. It fits snug, it doesn't embiggen the phone's profile too badly, and the cutouts for the ports are big. That's a plus for me, as the Aux cable in my car tends to have too wide a diameter to fit through most phone cases, and I always have to pop the phones out of their case in the car. Won't be a problem here.

A few pics (taken with a Nexus 4 BTW) :

I like the look of that case and the silicone into hard shell idea, like the Otterbox Commuters. By any chance, any idea what kind of holster that might fit into?

I have the double dip flip in black. Love it! Business feel and doesn't lose the magnificent phone's form factor at all.

i have the white one, and i can tell you it is really hard to get off. don't get me wrong i love the actual case, but the ease of removal is not there.

Are you referring to the Speck Candy Shell? I agree, it isn't easy to get off, but it is not impossible like some people claim.

Anyone have a pic of the defender on the one?

I have the Cruzerlite, which feels great in the hand. It fits extremely tightly, which seems to be a theme with a lot of these cases. I like the case a lot, but probably won't take it off often because of how difficult it is to get on and off.

I just got the Speck Candy Shell grip in white, a real stinker to take off, but is really easy to hold on to and looks great. I had the same on my Inspire 4G for years.

I got the same case in gray and I love it. I can't decide if I like that or my wallet case more, but the SHINE is probably gonna get more use since it's less cumbersome. It's a nice, tight fit and the phone looks just as sleek with the case's aluminum-style finish.

Here is mine. I punched out the screen protector on it because I use a zagg shield. I like the look and feel. It does add some bulk, but it feels great in my hand.

Sent from there can only be HTC One

Are you having any issues with the red case causing pictures to have a red tint when you use flash. I had a few iPhone cases with that issue in the past and am leery of buying a bright case because of that.

same question to anyone with one of the cruzerlite you cases or anyone with the atmosphere case in a color.

No tinting that I've noticed but I've only taken a couple.

I ordered the otterbox defender series in gray ice or whatever it's called and the official htc one double dip flip case.

I have tested a bunch of cases so far and I like this one the best

Amazon.com: Cimo Grip Back Case Flexible TPU Cover for HTC One (M7) - Frosted Clear: Cell Phones & Accessories

It has a cutout for the power button and its very easy to press.

Even though it says "frosted Clear" you can still see the phone perfectly through the back

I second this, I am using this case and quite like it, the look of the phone shines through, blocks nothing and it fits snugly. And for under $10 you can't beat it.
