Cases for the Nexus 6P

So I'm gonna order my case from Google so I know they'll work perfectly with the phone, and I'll possibly buy another one down the road once more companies begin to accommodate, but I'm torn between the $20 ADOPTED case and the $35 nexus case. Suggestions guys!

In my opinion you cannot go wrong with the $35 Nexus Case. I have always bought cases for my devices and I would rate this particular case among the top 2 or 3 I have ever used. It grips very well, the microfiber back is amazing to look at and very nice to touch and the fit is tight (don't know how that is for screen protectors though. There is a slight raised lip and the buttons are very easy to press. Overall, I am glad I did not go in for the adopted case. This thing is worth the cash in my opinion.

I just received the adopted case but I don't have the 6p or screen protector yet but I'm thinking the screen lip looks big. Might be big enough to interfere with a tempered glass screen protector? Thoughts?

My screen protector got in earlier than expected and it is indeed larger than the screen hole in front of the adopted case. The adopted case is a bit odd, it wraps around the front of the phone further than any other TPU case I've ever seen.

Going to see about sending hat back and going with the redshield .

Does anyone have solid feedback on the Adopted case? Really debating if this one is going to be a good one or not. Never heard of this brand before, so I have no experience to go by.

I'm also curious if anyone has tried the Speck CandyShell cases? I wasn't really interested in them before but, after seeing the "bend" video, I'm thinking there may be times I want the more protective case.

For those who ride bicycles, motorcycles, or other vehicles needing a proven connectable case, RokForm has a great product. Motorcycle companies like Indian even offer their cases, and also have specialized holders that integrated nicely to their bikes (other than handlebar holders). Unfortunately, they are not offering a case for the 6P or 5X - obviously waiting for enough market potential to develop one.

Let's make this a proactive thread and let them know there is a market. Visit rokform.zendesk.com/anonymous_requests/new
and write - Please produce a case for the Nexus 6P - in the request box,

I am using the quad lock which is similar with the biggest difference being you have to provide your own case. Here are some images of the quad lock on the back of the otterbox I use for my Droid Turbo.

I am now trying to find out what the collected experience of the community here might recommend for a hard case for the Nexus 6P. I then just attach the quad lock and it is ready to go. It does work great for my bike car whatever and my son who has a different size phone can use the car mount without having to change anything.

Look forward to the recommendations I might get. Thanks everyone.Otterbox1 back.jpgOtterbox1 side.jpg

So looking at the Nexus 6p "teardown" on the AC homepage, I noticed the image for the back/top camera area below.
What are the two round circles on the far middle/right side of the camera lens that I circled in green?
I don't see hardly any cases (outside of clear ones) that have "openings" to expose these?

This one is open the whole way:

Gaahhhhh can't wait to get mine

I bought the Verus case but sent it back because it felt VERY cheap and flimsy.....this might be my next attempt. I don't even have the damn phone yet and just buying accessories to pass the time til it arrives!!

My Nexus 6P Case (Quartz) arrived today. It's a very good fit, doesn't add too much bulk and it seems to make access to the finger print sensor even better. Protection-wise it seems reasonable but nothing special and of course it's extremely over-priced!

I chose the Quartz color to go with my silver 6p but I wish I'd gone for the darker color, it's pretty ugly in this colour, looks very cheap and the weird material bit at the back looks like it will be filthy in no time.

I've just requested a return from Google. Just my opinion.

If you're looking for a temporary, inexpensive, and translucent case - I highly recommend this one by LK:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0168KQ3L0?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

It's pretty translucent (which is what I want) and it has tiny little pixels on it, which surprisingly, I really like! It Doesn't obstruct the charging port nor the earphone jack, and you can push the power and volume button pretty well.
I have this one on until I get my Spigen.
*Forgive the quality of the pic with the case on, my Nexus 9's camera is terrible. It makes it look more opaque than it really is.*

Same case my wife and I just received and put on. I went black and wife went mint. Perfect fit until better cases are released

The adopted case is pretty good but not worth $20. Not even close. Back it goes.

I always thought 20 dollars was good for a case.. is it like jelly? Thin and lowsey? I'm used to buying 80 dollar life proofs lol.

I'm tempted to buy more cases than I need....

Now if only a tempered glass screen protector would be in stock now...

Like me? I bought 32 cases for my Nexus 6. Yeah, I really did. Now I'm trying to sell some of the ones I don't use much. I think I went a little overboard.

It depends. I've found some really nice cases on ebay for less than $10. I've only spent $20 once, and that was for the tank-like Unicorn Beetle Pro which makes your phone basically indestructible.

In the photos from the link, there is a rectangle on the back that appears to lift away from the phone. Does it? I'm having trouble explaining this (need morning coffee). In other words, will the back touch the phone or have a 1/8" void?

Are there any cases that people know of that do not interfere with the laser auto focus or the mic in the back?

The case will touch the phone. What you are seeing in the photos (and what they are trying to demonstrate) is that the rectangle is made of a hard polycarbonate plastic, with the remainder of the case being made of TPU. The TPU "bumper" provides the "grip" to easily install and grip the sides of the phone, while the PC back provides additional rigidity and protection, at least as I understand the design.

I believe most cases, at least from reputable sites (such as Amazon), are now corrected so they do not interfere with the auto focus or the mic.
