Cases for the Nexus 6P

Ordered mine on Friday. Can't wait! I am coming from a Droid Turb and have a Tech21 case and love it. Shame they won't be making for Nexus 6P. What is the closest available case to the Tech 21? Thanks

Why would there be a need for a cutout for a light? The screen protector is clear, right?

Well it looks like Spigen added a new case to their website for pre-order. It's the slim fit case that I mentioned I was hoping for earlier. Link and picture below. It's not available until 11/20 though. I've had this case on previous phones and it is hands down the best thin case I have ever owned. You won't be sorry with this purchase. It's worth the wait and for $14.99 and free shipping it's one hell of a deal!

Looks like a nice case, but the only thing I don't like is the uncovered buttons. Was never a fan of that.

First one? I've seen tons of cases with uncovered buttons. Then again, I have researched for hours on every case imaginable, and own 32 cases.

I personally like the uncovered buttons. I also like that the case is thin and the PC case adds to the grip on the phone. I'm not looking for some monstrosity of a case that I can drop from a 747 and have it protect the phone. I just want something that offers SOME protection from every day wear and tear. Now if they come out with their glass screen protector I"ll be a happy camper.

Can it be safely dropped from normal carrying height?

My Spigen Slim Armor, which isn't that slim, has protected my phone from dozens of drops.

Rhinoshield have also released a new case for iPhones which I hope they will make for the Nexus line: it's called the Playproof. For me it looks like the perfect case: huge protection, minimal bulk, possibility of an array of colours.

I hope it can come out at the same time as their crash guard bumper.

I like the looks of the Rhino products. The Playproof is promising, but I like the minimalism of the Crash Guard. And the Crash Guard offers excellent drop protection.

The 6P is new, and you have to give it time. I was talking about the Nexus 6. But (almost) every phone eventually gets a lot of cases. It took a while before the Nexus 6 got a lot of choices. Now there are a million.........

I used to love the Incipio Feather cases until I tried the Spigen I posted above (I had it on my Galaxy S5) and if I have a choice it's Spigen Slim Fit all the way.

Unless you have a Moto X then you're SOL. Been over a year and they still don't have any decent slim cases.

When I had it on my Galaxy S5 I dropped it a few times from various heights and never had an issue. I used the Thin Fit case and a Zagg glass screen protector. I mean it's not gonna handle as much abuse as saw a Lifeproof Case or something like that but I never felt like I had to baby it so it didn't get damaged.

I have the Spigen Thin Fit for my Note 4. It is very slim fitting and looks great. Will definitely get it for my 6P.

I'm still not sure whether I'm going to use a traditional case or go with a sleeve, but I do find the Poetic Affinity on Amazon interesting - in addition to some others I've seen in this thread. A friend has an Affinity on his iPhone and likes it. The low ratings seem to be more due to them initially having the wrong phone pictured, though the one guy is clearly very upset that the Poetic "P" logo is smack in the middle of the "Nexus" branding; which I have to admit seems odd placement to me, as well.

What do you guys think of this case? I wanted something with a stand to watch videos while traveling. It won't let me post link because I am a new member and don't have enough posts. I also did a quick search but couldn't find anything about this case.
