Cases for the Nexus 6P

I had that same Versus case for my Galaxy s6. It never got any time on my phone because it was very bulky and added no grip.

I'm going to disagree with you on the bulk factor though. This is a pretty slim case for the 6p. I think the only thing that would be slimmer than this verus would be some type of snap on plastic shell.

Regardless, I may look for something else. I wanted at least some protection and while I think it'll be OK for scratches and small fumbles I'm not sure I'd trust it in a shoulder high drop.

For those of us looking for a "tank", Evolutive Labs is coming out with their Rhino Shield Crash Guard and Rhino Shield protectors for the 6P. I saw a poster mention it on Reddit, and I viewed a few videos on it, including one from Erica Griffin where she absolutely tortures an S6, and other videos. It seems the real deal, folks.

I'm actually looking forward to that bumper.

A few more of the verus case. Trying to show how much of a lip will cover the front of the phone (not much at all). The back is also textured, its not just visual which is nice. This is the satin silver, the one that almost looks white in the amazon pictures. It's not white, but should still look good with the aluminum or frost phones. also a couple with my one m8 spigen slim armor case for comparison.

Someone posted the question right below your post, but I'm hoping quoting you will send you a notice and get a reply. What is the metal bumper shown in a couple of the pictures? Is that a stand alone case? I'm, as probably many others, are looking for minimal and thin-profile solutions like a metal bumper only. This beast is going to be big enough as it is! Thanks.

EDIT: never mind, after looking at the pictures again, and checking the Verus case listing on Amazon, it is clearly part of the Verus case (and I'm sure won't work as a stand alone). Sigh.

Correct, its part of the verus case and would not fit standalone

I received my Verus case today as well. It's pretty much identical to the Spigen Neo Hybrid, which is a very good thing imo. I'm satisfied!

I wish Dreem would make a Fibonacci case for the 6p. It is a perfect phablet case. It is a leather wallet case that is also just a regular case. It is a hybrid that is held together by magnets. My brother has one for the iPhone and it is amazingly strong. The case itself is pretty thin and you can use a magnet car mount without taking the case off. I emailed Dreem and they said the are just starting to develop andriod cases now.

On another forum I saw someone mention this leather sleeve from fitBAG. I had never considered this but the sleeve is beautiful and looks like nice leather. The inside is microfibre and the phone supposedly is a finger magnet. I take care of my phones, so I will use this and it will allow me to use it naked. I will also use the Google 6p case when I feel it is necessary.

For those of you ordering the Verus neo hybrid-esque case, make sure to check out the buttons on the side for the tactile feel. My Verus case for my Note 4 had very rubbery, mushy buttons and had me running to Spigen for a good feeling case. That's my only concern with Verus.

I ordered that and I'll let you know how it looks when I receive it (supposedly takes 24 days or so to arrive from Germany once ordered). Reviews say it's almost too tightly made so getting the phone in or out can be difficult if you're in a hurry. Honestly, I'm really looking forward to the minimalist leather covers from tetded.

interesting. I didnt think anything of the buttons until now. Compared to my slim armor the High pro shield varus case seems to also have squishy buttons. I will hold judgement until after I have the phone in it though.

I'm hoping UAG (Urban Armor Gear) makes a case for the 6P. I have one for my Note 3 and my wife bought one for her iPhone 6s. GREAT cases

I will have to check those out. I have not ordered the fitBAG, if you get the opportunity I would like to hear if they are too tight or not.

Mine came damaged as well -- but at the usb charger port of the bumper - and not as bad as yours. Sorry! Unfortunately I/we have to pay for return shipping. Not cool Verus. I won't be ordering from them again.

UAG isn't making a case for the 6P. Neither is Ballistic. Poetic will release their Revolution case next month.

Yeah, that is absolute crap. It's one thing if the packaging they were shipping in was sufficient enough to prevent silly transit damages like that, but it wasn't sufficient AT ALL. I'm amazed mine wasn't damaged.

I'll be following your lead and that will be both my first and last verus product. Not willing to gamble again. I feel I used my luck up on this one.

Looks like I dodged a bullet by avoiding Versus.

I really wanted the rugged Spigen case, but it's only in stock after my 6P ships (supposedly). So, that $19 Adopted case will just have to do.

Pros:
+ Perfect cutouts because Adopted actually got a 6P or a prototype to work with beforehand (Laser AF not blocked).
+ Single piece, lightweight, and doesn't add much thickness.
+ Minimal design/branding
+ Ships before my 6P

Cons:
- Probably not worth the price
