are there any cases with kickstands for the verizon g2? I thought the poetic invictus looked pretty good, alas there's no verizon version...

I use the OEM Verizon one. It doesn't offer a lot of protection from fall but the Kickstand is awesome because it works both vetically and horizontally. It offers a good grip on the phone too. It comes with a holster but I never use it. The kickstand also offers a great place to slide a finger to get an even better hold and use it better with one hand.

I've seen some of the other cases that are bulkier with a kickstand but they only work horizontally.

At least yours has departed San Francisco. Mine is still just sitting there in SF - since Nov 11th, according to USPS. Poetic says that are "reshipping" but hasn't yet provided shipment details.

FYI I bought mine through Amazon, but think it still shipped from Poetic.

Senrekiv - Here's some pics of the Trident Aegis case. Sorry I didn't post them sooner...

I do have to say while I am a big fan of Trident cases, especially the Aegis line, I have since switched over to the Incipio Dual Pro. When I ordered the Trident, I also got the Tudia because it was only $3 at the time. In trying the Tudia for a bit, I really got used to the slimness and realized I wanted something not as bomber. So the Dual Pro ended up being the best compromise between protection and slimness. I do miss the covered ports though!

That thing looks like a retro case for one of those thick early 90's motorolla phones. Yuck....

I went with the white Incipio Dual Pro (for VZW) case and love the way it looks (two tone, white and gray). I think this is the best option since Verizon still doesn't have the white G2. As with previous Dual Pro cases, it feels good in the hand but I wish it was a little less slippery. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I had the Otterbox commuter on the GNex and loved it. I didn't think anything would suffice but the Incipio DualPro is perfect! I got the Black/Black case and the fit is better than an OB commuter. I was pissed paying almost $30 but it was totally worth it.
Thanks for the info and pics. This sealed it for me to to go with the dualpro and not the feather. I bought a Commuter for my GNex [b/c the one for the DInc was so awesome] but hated how slick the hard shell was and and how much lint the soft sleeve picked up [too soft??], it just wasn't the same. So I mostly used a Cruzerlite silicone case which did the job fine. Glad to hear this one is not so slick. :)

If anyone is looking for a good deal, I just ordered a black one from shopblt for $18, cheaper than amazon, and they have plenty in stock [unlike amazon right now] free shipping too.

I should have mine today or tomorrow.

One odd thing is that if you try to go to the product page from your orders on Amazon, it goes directory to the flipbook version of the case... they don't have the product page anymore...

Interesting. Original shipment info says the package is still in SF. Poetic hasn't responded to my two last emails - will probably give them a call today. If I didn't already have the Tudia case (which I've fairly happy with), I'd probably be a little more worked up about it. They are definitely having SOME kind of issue. If I find anything out, I'll post it on here.

Mine is either at my apartment building (got a package today) or at the post office across the street (updated as of a couple hours ago). I'll chime in when I get home.

Just got my Poetic case. It's awesome. very minimal look, smooth as silk. Noticeably thinner than the Feather. I do have one strong complaint. The stupid cutout for the Sim card on the side. Seriously? If, and that is a big IF, I ever needed to change the card, what I couldn't wait the 2 seconds it takes to remove the case? It's almost like whomever designed the case thought it was a volume rocker or micro SD card slot. For some reason it really bugs me as the Feather didn't have this, but still do like the case very much.

Also, I don't know if it's just irony, but this morning I had a 4 foot fall to concrete with my Feather case still on. It fell hard glass side down flat and thankfully the edges of the case kept the G2 in pristine condition with not even a scuff. (phew... close call.)

I hadn't heard anything from Poetic despite several emails so I called them. A guy said they'd had trouble keeping them in stock and getting enough of the product from the manufacturer. He apologized for the delay, but I felt like he was making excuses for why he hadn't responded to may emails. Doesn't sound like a very big or professional company. He said mine should ship out today and I'd be getting updated tracking info. He said they wouldn't ship it to arrive any faster, despite the delay. Unless the case is simply fantastic, I can't see me ordering from these guys again due to the low quality service and communication.

Thanks for the review. Are you saying the Poetic case would or wouldn't of kept the G2 intact if you had it on the phone when it fell this morning?

Got the Poetic... definitely like the slimness of it but seems sturdy. it is a bit slippery which is the only downfall. I'm hoping over time it'll get scuffed up enough that it'll provide a bit more grip. and yea that sim card slot is idiotic.

Probably would if it fell glass first. Same raised edge. The rear side is much thinner than the Incipio Feather (Which I prefer) but the Fether would likle offer more rear cushion. Tops and bottom on both are open.

Yeah the back is so silky smooth while still being matte. I thought the little notch for the simm might give you a little grip nook, but it grips better without it as you can test buy flipping the phone around and holding it. If they get rid of the simm notch I'll buy another one. Nice fit though.
