Cases with Extended Battery

Liked it until I saw the back is completely open.
It's a bumper style case, the back is supposed to be open. It really doesn't matter since there is nothing but the battery cover anyway. It's not like one has to worry about breaking it as is the case with the iPhone 4 and 4S given that the back of those two devices are made of glass.
Is that for the standard battery or the extended? If it's the standard one it's probably the same one that I am using. I love this case more than I thought I would when I first got it. It's nice having a soft case like this that doesn't get lint all over from being in scrub pocket while at work.

I was just reading reviews for the Otterbox Defender and a guy mentioned that he uses the Defender with the extended battery. He basically leaves off the back part of the hard shell case before attaching the rubbery exterior layer. Has anyone tried this? I wonder if the phone would then still fit into the holster. I would really love to pair the extended battery (which I haven't purchased yet) with the Defender and this seems like it might work. Thoughts?

Yea, I think that is the exact same one that HTCPedia is selling. Hate that there is only one choice for extended battery case
