I loved my Portenzo for 1st Gen, but I'm thinking it won't work with the wireless charging station if I get another. I should contact them and see if it will work, or if they are planning on taking advantage of that somehow with their new case.

Honestly, it would be annoying to have to get it out of the case each time to charge wireless though.

Great case I like how the screen is fully exposed. Meaning no leather frame to hold pad in place.

I also bought the iBlason case...I picked up the official travel case as well, since the iBlason was so cheap. I'm not completely confident that the iBlason is going to hold up well, but given the price, I'm willing to try it, with the travel case as a backup.

I don't know about this one in particular, but a lot of leather cases will smell terrible for the first several days (petroleum/gasoline odor). It will go away after a few days. If you leave them outside during that time (in a protected location) then you won't have to worry about the smell while they air out.

I am waiting for some of the good Chinese cases to pop up, until then I found an ESD bubble wrap envelope from an old graphics card that the tablet fits into perfectly. It's not pretty but it gets the job done when I put it in my bag to and from work.

Would you guys say that Portenzo cases are worth the pricetag? I've been looking at their BookCase cover with IntelliStand for the past hour or so, but I can't decide if it's worth the ~$65.

I had one for my iPad... Fantastically well made and gorgeous, but the wood frame did not stand up well to the rigors of travel and the occasional drop. After maybe a year the frame was splintered and nearly worthless, but the exterior looked good as new. For my needs a "soft" fabric and plastic/rubber case works much better. YMMV.

I love the one I have on my 2012 nexus. I dont have any heavy wear and tear on it so its still in pretty much perfect condition. It all comes down to what kind of a case you want. If you want a higher end case, this is worth every penny as its an awesome case. Very well made and looks great. Theres cases that are cheaper as others have pointed out that will be a nice alternative for sure. Just gotta decide if you want that hard cover that looks very similar to a book. The Intellistand is the only way to go of course. I always opt for the hidden magnets and not elastic strap and I prefer the cleaner look. I didnt get a camera opening for it cause frankly, I dont take pictures with tablets. I have a phone for that. In the end, I personally think they are worth the price, but everyone is different. They are pricey, but they are awesome cases.

I want the ASUS premium case, but may try one of these. At that price point how can you go wrong? Does anyone know price or availability of the ASUS case? I'd definitely buy one of these cheap ones if it were available today.
