CDMA Hero Predictive Text issues

so call me old school but i prefer the phone keypad and predictive text for messaging... but am I the only one that has noticed how much it sucks on this phone? It is always suggesting non-words before common ones....

any ideas on how to improve this?

I haven't found a good way around this one. I have the same problems. I have begun using the compact qwerty while typing. I seem to make less mistakes. My only other thought is to try to slow down to increase your accuracy.
