Change location where files are downloaded

Hey guys! I recently got my hands on a GS4 (less than a week ago) and updated to the latest software through AT&T OTA update yesterday. Needless to say, I haven't had the chance to fully play around with the phone and customize it to my tastes. I do have an issue which I was hoping someone can help me in this forum:

I have a 32gb external micro SD card for my GS4 and I'm trying to save all of my files there and apps, where I can, given the limited available space of the 16gb GS4s. In the camera settings, I was able to specify where photos and videos taken by the camera phone to be saved onto the memory card instead of the device memory (which it saves under DCIM folder in my external micro SD card). So I'm good with that. Also, under My Files -- Settings, I've updated the image, video, music, and document directories to reflect pathways to my external micro SD. However, if I try to save a photo from a text or an email it still saves on the device memory under Download. And if I try to download something (other than an app), it still saves on the Download folder under device memory. How can I specify for my downloads to be saved on external SD card? Also, since I have specified the pathways for specific files to be saved onto my external SD card, how come it still gets saved on Download under device memory?

Thanks!

Same here man. Need to change, so anything downloaded from a browser, text, and even other apps all is saved by default to downloads folder on my ext sd. Anyone? Thank you for your time!

You'd use the download manager of ES File Explorer instead of the stock download app.
ES let you choose the place for the downloaded files on its Settings ... and it's a pretty good file manager.
