Changes since new update

Stock. Just got the tbolt a little over a week ago. Been following the forums since the phone first came out and new the update was coming so I didn't want to root until after the ota

Thunderbolt HO!!!!

After update, I have had nothing but issues with my phone just shutting off and restarting. Like 7 times now. It also went to a bootloader screen once. I have never had any issues with this and am pretty disappointed.

running great here. 4g signal is stronger than ever.

i think fixing the 4g also improved battery life. it is not constantly searching for 4g and 3g

i left work at 5pm with 100 percent battery.

9:30 86 percent left

usually by this time i am in the low 60's

i have used it as usual

I had one random reboot this afternoon post upgrade this am, and my GPS isn't much better.

GPS still way off ,using GPS Status work around. Keeps shutting off resetting. But when listining to my music with skullcandy headphones on I can anwser my phone and talk without removing the headphones.

Battery is worse today with minimal usage and now get one to four bars of 4g instead of a constant 3-4!! That makes me mad. Recorded audio is better though. Can we root this the same as last time?

Since the update my phone's battery performance has gotten much worse and the phone is hot continuously. Thoughts?

Updated mine this am. Battery was fully charged at 11:30. By 5 it was in the yellow with little usage. I'm in a 3G area only. I have been doing the whole ##778# thing so I can get data. Otherwise its hit or miss on getting data. So before I updated I went in and changed it back to ehrp or what ever it is, then downloaded the update. I thought one of the fixes was to take care of not getting data/3G in areas that only have 3G? I love this phone but this horrible battery thing and other smaller issues is killing me.

GPS lock is way faster for me as well. had to clear data/cache in the maps.

Nah, definitely noticed an improvement in the audio. I tried recording a video of my TV at max volume two weeks ago and could barely hear it. I recorded a video of my TV at 40% volume after the update, and could easily hear it.

Not 100% sure if the update is why my battery life has improved, or if it's something else I've done. I'm always tweaking with settings. But like I said...at this time last week, I'd be below 25%. I'm currently just under 50%.

I have to second that on the sound. It now works good for me as well. Can anyone else confirm this?

Mine reboots when trying to turn on the screen after it auto turns off and charging. It has happened twice now.

Wait... so is it just me that basically had my phone wiped? All my apps and contacts and everything were returned to factory settings after the update...

Note to people seeing improved battery life: The battery improvement is largely due to improvements with your phones data connectivity. You phone does not have to work as hard for a signal, which in turn improves battery life.

However, do not be satisfied with this... HTC still needs to improve their battery management on the Thunderbolt. I want to be able to go a whole waking day (around 14-18 hours) without having to charge it *if* I am not using it actively. Otherwise I would like a good 5-7 hours of moderate-heavy usage.

I haven't been to download it. Each time I check for a software update it tells it is unable to connect.

Location on the main clock widget is dead on now. it used to have me in the next town over most of the time.

The two problems I had prior to the update seem to be fixed. I was having a data loss problem if I left 4G turned on becuase I live on the fringe of covereage. So during the switching back and forth between 4G/3G I was losing data connection alot. That seems to be fixed from my limited testing. And the audio on my video recorder is excellent now!
