Changes since new update

GPS lock is way faster for me as well. had to clear data/cache in the maps.

I don't know if there's any technical reason why clearing the maps data and would affect gps acquisition time, for every application, but it looks like that solved my gps issue. It was taking 4 to 6 minutes to lock every time after the update, and when I cleared the maps cache in manage applications, the time to lock is now less than 10 seconds every time. I'm glad you posted this.

I find it's considerably better, but still not as loud as it should be.

+1

I've also noticed very inconsistent battery usage since the update...CurrentWidget is all over the place. 38mA for an hour, 1028mA for an hour....really weird...

I might need to do a factory reset =/

My battery life has taken a hit after update. I unplugged my phone at 7am and now two hours later with moderate use, it is down to 35%!

I had horrible battery life in my office before the update because of the phone continuously searching for 4G. Even switching to 3G, I would end the day at about 60% battery.

Yesterday after the update, I lost only about 10% in 4 hours with light usage. Today, I'm leaving the phone on 4G in my office to see how the battery life is with the new radio.

GPS lock is significantly faster.

5 random reboots since yesterdays update. NEVER had it reboot on its own before. Seriously aggrivating.

My GPS was significantly slower to lock after the update, however, a couple times when testing it, I found that if it's connected to WIFI at the time, it takes minutes to lock on. If I turn WIFI off, it connects in seconds. Anyone else seeing this?

did anyone have to backup their device before doing the update?

and if you did, how do you backup the tbolt to the pc via usb (like i used to do with storm1)?

could be that backup is more needed when say going from froyo to gingerbread and not for OTA updates? curious to know, my first android device.

Since the update....the battery is better. The gps locks very quick..pull out battery that should do it.

I updated "successfully" yesterday afternoon. Now I am having issues with streaming to my bluetooth-enabled car stereo. As soon as I open Pandora, Radio.com, or even play an MP3 my Tbolt will say Bluetooth Headset (Headphones?) Disconnected. If I try to turn Bluetooth off and then back off it will lock my Tbolt. I will then get a Force Close message for HTC Sense or I am forced to shut down/reboot. I have also had random restarts.

I never had these issues prior to the update.

How are you guys clearing the GPS cache?

*ahem* Since it was a few pages back, I'll copy and paste what I said earlier:

I would personally recommend doanloading GPS Status and Toolbox (Free Version) from the market. Once in the app, tap menu -> Tools -> Manage A-GPS State -> Reset then Download.

I'm sorry man, didn't see it. Thanks!

which bluetooth car stereo are you using?

Stock 2011 Kia Sportage stereo. Was working just fine on my way home from work yesterday afternoon. Got home. Updated. On my way to work I am getting that message and my phone locks up. It also flashed an incompatible something or other message but it went away too quickly.

I have noticed that the volume on my speaker during calls is MUCH louder. That helps.
