Changes since new update

since the update my yahoo mail advises me I received mail but when I go to the in box there is never any mail there. I sent myself mail was notified I had mail, opened mailbox it doesn't show up on my thunderbolt since update. I can go on my main computer go to yahoo, and there is mail in in box. In Box appears on TB but even after TB notifies me yahoo has mail, it is always empty since update.

Update, only way to correct this was to uninstall and reinstall Yahoo mail. after reinstall works fine.

I don't notice any improvements really. GPS lock still takes a bit (maybe 3 minutes) the first time I try to get Navigation going in the day. Not sure about any 3G/4G connection things as I seem to be in a decent 2-3 bars 4G lte area in my house in Los Angeles. Overall, its still a great phone, I just don't see any noticeable improvement.

However, I recorded a Sportscenter at the same volume using the Video Camera both before and after the update and the results are obvious...the audio volume on the TB Video Camera has improved. Its louder. Not loud by any means but MUCH higher than before. It is still, in my opinion, not the best quality audio but its nice to have a little audio should I ever really find the need to use the video camera on my phone.

I haven't noticed anything different other than my phone has rebooted several times now for no reason. It isn't rooted/was never rooted and has never had random reboots before.

Since the update I have not noticed any difference but it did reboot on its own twice today. I am hoping that is was an application fault. I will try the GPS tomorrow.

I am rooted, and updated the leaked radio (which is supposed to be exactly the same). I am having no force close issues. The gps is locking faster. That is all I am noticing.

My Battery life is much better after OTA! Using stock battery I actually got over 13 hrs with 25% left when I got off work before putting it in the car mount,, and using Navigation it went right to it, no searching for GPS!! No reboots have happened to me. :)

Didn't notice any real improvement as my GPS was always fast. SMS messages don't fail as often but I dont use stock messaging . Battery seems a bit better and as I don't live in a 4G area. 3G connection problems seem to be mostly the only thing solved for me. Video sound is still the same unless I cover one of the 2 mics. Htc still working on that software issue. I think the SMS issue could have been more of a 3G / 1X bouncing issue. That seems to be fixed. Don't have super battery increase. But it doesn't spend as much time draining the battery bouncing through 3G/ 1X now. After a few tweeks when I first got my phone. Turn off 4G. And some other things learned from my incredible, the battery life was as good if not a bit better on wifi.. the thunderbolt is a great phone it just takes some time for it to train you! Lol. Stock. Not rooted tbolt. :)

I've definitely noticed the GPS improvements.. But what's really getting me is when I reboot, my Thunderbolt stats up without showing my apps saved to SD. I have to reboot again, at least once to get them to show again..

Also, has anyone had any issues with installing apps? Both from Android Market, and Amazon Appstore? Does anyone have an idea how to reverse this or a workaround or *something*?

There was some mention that BT may be an issue after the update. I am happy to say that, after a weekend of driving around, my BT worked just fine. I did not have any dropouts on the phone or audio. I streamed Pandora as well as mp3s and it was fine. Made several calls and had no issues.

'Up time' equals 'Awake time' now.

Downloaded the update, and I have noticied two items in particular:

1) Reset the personalized sound tones for incoming texts (no big deal).

2) The 'awake time' on my Thunderbolt now always equals my 'up time'. This has never happened to me before. I thought it may be a rogue application, but it might be just as likely something from the update.

Any suggestions on item (2)?! :(

*ahem* Since it was a few pages back, I'll copy and paste what I said earlier:

I would personally recommend doanloading GPS Status and Toolbox (Free Version) from the market. Once in the app, tap menu -> Tools -> Manage A-GPS State -> Reset then Download.

Quoting for the others that didn't see it.

I noticed that when someone sends me a text over 160 characters from an iPhone I don't get the second part. I can get the two part messages from other phones but not the iPhone. Its really really weird.

Not sure about anyone else but the news widget has even more problems than before. No amount of hoop jumping makes it usable this time (or even possible to remove the widget without resetting the theme). The issue is the same with the illegitimate expired login but now it's much more malicious.

I am basically losing my mind, since the update my batter life is atrocious I have done everything in my power to get it back to normal, I spoke to customer service rep and they stated that the update is affecting some people but ughhh why me, they transferred me to technical support because I am to the point where I would cancel this service because why have a phone and I cannot use it, what pissed me off is that my son was calling me and my phone completely shut off even though it stated a full charge, thank goodness he was alright but what if it was important? Anyway technical support was very nice and offered me a free extended battery, downfall to that is they have none in stock smh, the rep stated they would send me one as soon as they are available but also told me they have been out of stock for three weeks. I really love this phone but I am extremely frustrated, great phone that I cannot use, what a load of crap. These problems are making the iphone that I used to have look better and better. Sorry guys I’m just extremely Pissed Off!:(

I am also having a terrible battery life although the reboot syndrome has eluded my phone. It is frustrating but I faith that subsequent upgrades will solve the problem. And finally, I am using the extended battery that I purchased along with the phone on day One.
